In depth

Verdict

SECRET WITNESS gets the vote in this handicap; the list of dangers is headed by Last Sovereign and Tamasou. The selection was only narrowly beaten by Santefiso at Lingfield last time on only his second start in a handicap. Jeremy Noseda has his string in good form at present and from a decent draw he can resume winning ways. Last Sovereign has the plum draw and he has won over the course and distance, but he was a little disappointing when last seen out at York and he may have to settle for a place today. He can't be ruled out though as he returns tonight to the scene of his last win which came back in February. Tamasou will need some luck to score from his low draw but he won over this course and distance last time and he has recently switched stables so there could be more to come. Keiren Fallon is an interesting jockey booking for Beauchamp Wizard and a market move for the Gerard Butler-trained 4-year-old could be of interest, especially as he remains unexposed. Secret Witness makes most appeal and gets the vote.
