In depth

Verdict

EAGLE NEBULA won well last time and he is taken to go in again at the main expense of Sinbad The Sailor and Dancer's Legacy. The selection got his head in front for the first at his 14th attempt at Wolverhampton earlier in the month and now that he has discovered how to win he could be worth persevering with. He beat Pianoforte that day which was a good effort considering he was returning from a break. There should be more to come and from a good high draw he looks the one to be with. Sinbad The Sailor could give him the most to think about as he posted a decent effort to finish third behind Soundbyte at Goodwood earlier in the month. He is making his all-weather debut here so it remains to be seen how he handles the surface, but he is an obvious contender. Dancer's Legacy actually finished in front of Sinbad The Sailor last season but he has been a little disappointing this time around and his best form has been over shorter trips than this. La Belle Joannie is interesting as she chased home Blue Noodles at Chepstow last time and that form was franked when Blue Noodles won at Wolverhampton on Friday. She has yet to prove that she sees out this trip and on that basis we will take her on. Libre finished behind our selection last time and it is hard to see him turning the tables here, so we will stick with Eagle Nebula as our choice to lead them home.
