HALYARD beat a decent yardstick in Sunley Spinalonga last time and appeals as the type who may be able to keep one step ahead of the handicapper and the form of his win has already been given a boost with the third home winning next time. Irish raider Fearchar is one to monitor closely in the market and the betting may also be the best guide to the chances of Loden and Ildiko (who is now tried in a tongue strap) but there are plenty in the line-up with less to prove. Celestial Girl, Now What and Azaday have all been running well but have shown their hand to the assessor whilst Forgotten Army has struggled since making a promising start to the season. Mavalenta also has a little to prove but is bred to appreciate this sort of trip and may well improve for this stiffer test.
