Verdict

We can't really see too many getting involved in this and Farewell Gift may just have the edge over Kind and Mr Hullabalou. The selection looks likely to be well suited by the step up to seven furlongs judged on his running on third at Salisbury in a decent contest last time. Faster ground might not necessarily be in his favour, but he looks like his is starting to mature nicely now and gets the vote. Kind will not be far away though. Tried over this trip for the first time at Newmarket's Craven meeting, she ran really well and was only pipped close home. With a nice break since that she should be spot on for this and can give the selection most to do. Of the others, Mr Hullabalou showed up well late on at Salisbury last time. He promised more over longer and gets the chance to show us what he is capable of here. The big imponderable with him is the ground, as he has had three runs with cut so far, so we are happy to pledge our allegiance to Farewell Gift.
