MONSIEUR FILLIOUX may be able to bounce back from an absence by getting the better of Simla Sunset and I Confess amongst others. There are certainly risks attached in siding with Monsieur Fillioux but connections clearly felt that he was capable of winning from his initial mark given the support that he attracted. His subsequent absence, not to mention performance, suggests that all was not well that day and he may, now, be able to set the record straight. Simla Sunset has shown improved form at Wolverhampton since being fitted with a tongue tie but her success was hardfought and it remains to be seen how she copes with the rise in the weights as well as the differing nature of this track. I Confess has only ever won at Lingfield but he ran well here last time at a big price and is well enough handicapped at present to enter calculations from a better draw. Hereford Boy is in fine form and remains fairly treated whilst Sadeek and The Mouse Carroll are amongst other interesting runners but a chance is taken with Monsieur Fillioux.
