Verdict

Apollo D'Negro beat Bowstar by a nose here earlier this month with Secret Beau only seventh. But Clive Cox' charge is 3lb higher here and may struggle to confirm the places. Showboating should confirm Doncaster running with Frontier Fighter on only a pound worse terms as the top weight is just as effective on Polytrack, though has never won here. CORPORAL MADDOX has been far from disgraced since winning at the Curragh in August. He would have gone close over course and distance last time had he not met trouble in-running and races off the same mark today. Ocean Legend was touched off by Apostle here last month and subsequently reversed the form in the race won by Common Touch last time - he looks best of the rest.
