This looks quite a hot maiden with several of the bigger yards represented. Admiral Collins, who is a brother to Racing Post winner Commander Collins, has been something of a disappointment to date, but he is open to improvement and it would be folly to leave him out of calculations. Mark Johnston has yet to get his team into full swing and his representative Cantoris is probably best watched for the time being. Swell is sure to have learnt plenty from his debut, but he looks as though he will need to find plenty to take a hand in this, while Silver City may do better when he goes handicapping. Gold Medallist looked as though he would appreciate this stiffer test when just touched off by Santa Sophia at Windsor. While he looks sure to play a part, this could end up going to the only newcomer in the race, Midsummer, who is a half-sister to several high-class animals, notably Reams Of Verse and Elmaamul.
