Common Purpose comes from a yard in form and is taken to add to that tally here at the expense of Emma Jean Lad and Wrighty Almighty. The selection has not run for some time but has some fair form to his name having finished second to Murrin at Goodwood back in June. If able to repeat that performance then he seriously has to be respected. Emma Jean Lad has to be given credit for his consistency. Not out of the first two for the last four outings he was in the winners enclosure here last week over a furlong shorter. He is a further five pounds higher in the weights this time around which makes life tougher but he is a trier so can once again run a big race. Wrighty Almighty was in winning action at Lingfield before running a big race to finish second to Seneschal over course and distance last time out. He runs off the same mark so has to be given a live chance once again. But for the winner we return to Common Purpose.
