A competitive enough opener and THUNDERSTRUCK can get back losses at the principal expense of Bolanderi and Hurakan. The selection appeared to prop quite badly out of the boxes at Wolverhampton and as a consequence was unable to get to the front. This track has tended to favour the pace merchants of late and provided he can get to the front, he should score again. Bolanderi caught the eye during the summer with a fair third at Windsor. If adapting to the surface, he has a chance. Hurakan is reunited with JP Guillambert. His better performances have obtained under this rider and a note in the market is advised. Cossack Prince has a couple of disappointing form figures on his card though he is not devoid of ability and would have chances if consenting to put his best foot forward. Dream Of Fortune has performed creditably in a couple of claimers and now makes a return to handicapping. Trifti can be anticipated to have come on for his first run following an absence. Red Hot Desert sneaks in at the bottom of the handicap. The form of his Lingfield maiden victory was given a boost by the second earlier on in the week. Ripon maiden winner, Taaresh made no show on debut for new connections and has dropped down the weights accordingly. Thunderstruck is the call.
