There's very little to choose between Gay Mirage, Penangdouble O One and Elvira Madigan on official figures and the three of them have live claims of contesting the finish in a modest maiden where Hibba, Treacle Tart, Loyaliste and RANNOCH MOOR must also enter calculations given the paucity of the form on offer. The tentative suggestion is Rannoch Moor who appears to have plenty to prove having finished last in a Wolverhampton maiden in the spring but he was relatively short in the market on that occasion suggesting that better was expected and the well bred colt may well prove to be better suited by this longer trip having been given plenty of time. The jockey booking of George Baker is a rare one for the yard but with four winners from just nine rides for Marcus Tregoning in recent seasons, it certainly counts as a positive.
