Bizarrely, DONTPAYTHEFERRYMAN had his last run on the flat over Beverley's five furlongs, and now that he is upped to 1m 4f we'll take him to land this awful contest from Bring It On Home. The selection is no more than tentative given the apparent lack of quality here, but Evan Williams got novices' hurdle win out of the juvenile last month before he was tried more highly at Cheltenham in defeat. This is a nice enough opportunity if the gelding can show its best for David Evans again. Bring It On Home reverts to the Polytrack after a stint over hurdles and he has a 0 - 13 record in both disciplines to date. He has shown glimpses of ability thus far but with his yard in form it would be churlish to dismiss him out of hand. Coco L'Escargot represents another yard going pretty well and she races over her optimum trip here and though it is hard to see her winning she could make the frame. Yab Adee and Bonzo both have minor claims but in a race that you should not lose sleep over we'll side with Dontpaytheferryman.
