Treetops Hotel arrives here in cracking form and can defy a penalty to score; the list of dangers is headed by Mutamaasek and Mae Cigan. The selection was good value for his narrow winning margin last time when he came from a long way back to beat Sir Haydn. He has gone up 7lbs for that success but he scored with a bit in hand and this course and distance winner can go in again and complete the hat-trick. The booking of Jamie Spencer for Mutamaasek is eyecatching and on these terms he is entitled to go very close today, having finished behind our selection when last seen out. However, he has his quirks and he is not the most consistent so we are happy to take him on. Mae Cigan chased home Little Carmela here last time but this extra furlong is not sure to suit and on that basis he is opposed. Hermanita won well last time and she could go well at a price, but Treetops Hotel looks a solid bet and he is taken to continue his rich vein of form.
