In depth

Verdict

ADRIEN DU PONT landed the odds by a distance in one of these events at Newbury last month and a similar outcome is expected today given his apparent superiority over the rest of the field. Envoye Special is next best on these terms and has a recent win between the flags under his belt when Only Time'll Tell was pulled up. He also finished clear of Tom Barton when fourth at Stratford earlier and both Sheer Poetry and Dissertation return from lengthy absences.
