made all, set steady pace, ran wide paddock bend after 2nd, shaken up and went clear after 4th, stayed on well and challenged
tracked winner 1st, stayed in touch, not fluent 5th, weakened before 2 out
held up 4th, hanging left, lost touch before 3 out, tailed off
started slowly, pulled hard behind, went 3rd after 3 out, never going pace to trouble leaders
tracked winner after 1st, outpaced from 5th, kept on from 2 out but no chance with winner
mistakes, always in rear, tailed off after 4th
Lord Henry is difficult to oppose here and gets the verdict ahead of Harry Blade and Stately Raj. The Philip Hobbs trained five-year-old easily landed his maiden at Taunton last time, beating a 200/1 chance by a distance, although his task was made easier by the demise of the odds on favourite. Today's opposition is not too strong and he should be capable of following up that victory. Stately Raj also comes here in winning form having landed a modest contest at Fontwell last time. He appears to have a bit more to do here today and may have to settle for a place. Harry Blade beat Native Charmer in a bumper back in September and should be watched closely in the betting for his hurdles debut. The others make little appeal and so Lord Henry has an easy task and is a confident choice.
