Rajamand's Newbury third on his hurdling debut reads quite well and he could run a big race at a price, but it may pay to focus on Chepstow one-two William Hogarth and KARASENIR, with the latter taken to gain revenge. Philip Hobbs' charge was very impressive when winning at Market Rasen and looked set to follow-up before late mistakes allowed William Hogarth to score last time. The latter was returning from an absence and should improve so can't be dismissed lightly, but the combination of this flatter track and better ground should favour Karasenir and a better round of jumping can see him home in front. Hatton Flight is a fascinating hurdling newcomer whose flat form entitles maximum respect, while Marc Aurele needs first-time blinkers to work the oracle if he's to leave behind a rating of 116 but his trainer traditionally does well on this card so watch out for that improvement.
