      Verdict

      A couple of these stand out and soft ground may have been a legitimate excuse for Taffeta Lady’s poor run at Leicester last month. But TORQUAY is still preferred on a couple of recent narrow-margin defeats in handicaps and Harry Dunlop’s filly gets the nod back in maiden company. The remainder have yet to show any worthwhile form but Blazing Mighty and Casablanca have had just the one start each and should improve for today’s longer trip.
