Verdict

Several of these have long absences to overcome but Assessment made a winning debut at Yarmouth a year ago before disappointing when long odds-on in May. He shouldn't lack for fitness nor should Cabinet Of Clowns, who made a bright start early last summer. Sagano also made a successful reappearance at Deauville last March and looks a good addition to Gary Moore's team but DOUBLE TIME (NAP) has race-fitness on his side and that could be crucial. A winner here and at Chelmsford in October, he battled to victory at Wolverhampton last month and a 3lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent a double. Oisin Murphy, who rode him last time, is on board Hoornblower this time and his mount makes his handicap debut from what could prove a lenient mark.
