Verdict

WALLOP looks to have been found a winning opportunity on his return to action. Richard Hannon's colt wasn't beaten far in the Group 2 Mill Reef at Newbury last season though an official rating of 98 looks a bit on the high side. He was beaten by a Roger Varian-trained winner at Salisbury later and the stable run Almaty Star, who started off with a very good run at Haydock but didn't make the expected improvement at York. Spirit Of Breeze may do best of the rest with experience though William Haggas' newcomer Never This Way is by No Nay Never out of a mare who won over this trip on the all-weather.
