In depth

Verdict

BARBELO has had just the four outings and has been showing progressive form on Tapeta. She didn’t handle Fibresand last month but the switch to Polytrack should present too many problems and she can finally open her account. Malmesbury Abbey seeks to follow up last month’s course victory over 6f but has changed stables since. Another recent winner, Inevitable Outcome, also steps up a furlong, as does the hat-trick seeking Lord P who has been raised 5lb. Gold Brocade is yet another probably better over sprint distances.
