Buzbury Rings displayed some promise on his recent outing around Kempton, overcoming a slow start before finishing with a real flourish. In a competitive contest he could provide supporters with some value and is selected ahead of Avoca Dancer and Tuning Fork. Avoca Dancer has to be respected, tackling the seven furlongs which should suit. She was a winner last time around this circuit but under the penalty and the likely odds, we will pass her over. Tuning Fork did not get the run of the race last time when getting carried wide but placings on starts prior to that effort would leave him in with a shout. Buzbury Rings is our nomination to come home in front.
Avoca Dancer (IRE) Third of 7 behind Wiltshire beaten 2 3/4l at 11-4 on her latest outing at Kempton over 6f last month. Won, at Kempton over 6f in January, beating Mr Loire by 1 1/4l. In fine form at present and likely to be in the firing line once again.
Robinzal Successful at 7f and 1m, but last win was over two years ago; has also won a hurdle. Finished 7 3/4l behind Wisdom's Kiss when fourth of 7 at 20-1 on his latest outing at Wolverhampton over 1m 1f last month. Place claims at best unless he can reprodu.
Buzbury Rings Unplaced in all four starts. Beaten about 16l behind Cuppacocoa at 13-2 on his latest outing at Bath over 5f (firm) in May. Returning from a break and he will need to have made significant progress since he was last seen in public if he is to open hi.
Zorn Winner of five races from 6f to 7f on fibresand, but last win was over two years ago. Beaten about 17l behind Contented at 50-1 on his latest outing at Kempton over 7f last month. Entitled to strip fitter for that first outing since May 2006, but rem.
Alucica A winner at 7f on polytrack. Finished 2l behind Jessica Wigmo when fourth of 10 at 11-1 on her latest outing here over 7f earlier this month. Shouldn't be too far away when it matters with a similar performance this evening.
Tuning Fork A winner at 1m 3f, but that win was over four years ago. Third of 10 behind Jessica Wigmo beaten 2l at 3-1fav on his latest outing at Kempton over 7f last month. In good form and a repeat of his latest effort should see him go close again.
Batchworth Blaise Placed in three of 18 starts. Finished 2 1/2l behind Jessica Wigmo when fifth of 10 at 8-1 on his latest outing here over 7f earlier this month. It would be no surprise to see him in the mix.
Julian Joachim (USA) Placed once in six starts. Beaten 6 1/2l behind Not Now Lewis at 20-1 on his latest outing here over 1m earlier this month. Not without a chance on his best form, but may need further help from the handicapper before he can open his account.
Marmooq He has won four times from 7f to 1m including 3 wins on polytrack. A winner at 8-1 over this course and distance earlier this month, beating Big Ralph by a head. In fine form since the eye-shield was fitted and warrants the utmost respect in his bid.
Golden Square He has won three times from 7f to 1m including 2 wins on the all-weather (1 FB, 1 PO); has also won a hurdle. Beaten 7 1/2l behind Guildenstern at 20-1 on his latest outing here over 7f earlier this month. No more than an outside chance on recent for.
Divinshki (IRE) A winner at 7f, but that win was over four years ago. Beaten 6 1/4l behind Moon At Midnight at 20-1 on his latest outing at Down Royal over 7f (good) in August. An interesting Irish raider, but he is possibly best watched on his all-weather debut.
Mr Chocolate Drop (IRE) He has won three times at 7f on the all-weather (1 FB, 2 PO). Won on his latest outing, when 3-1fav at Kempton over 7f last month, beating dead-heaters Fun In The Sun and Grezie by 3/4l, his second win at the track this season. More to do now but don.
