    Verdict

Compas Scoobie won twice on the all-weather in October though is upped in class on his return to action while Fivetwoeight scored over track and trip in September and is also returning from a lay-off. BUSBY landed a double last autumn, including a course and distance success, and has placed in all three subsequent starts. Conrad Allen’s charge has scope for further progress this year and gets the nod. Excellent George sports additional headgear as well as the usual tongue-tie after a couple of modest efforts but won off today’s mark at Newmarket last year and is preferred to both Bernie's Boy and Upavon.
