In depth

Verdict

BRILLIANT VANGUARD notched-up a hat-trick including a course and distance success before beaten here last time. But he still finished ahead of Big Baz, Replenish and Mr Bossy Boots and beat The Warrior earlier. Reach High makes a belated seasonal debut having beaten none other than Harry Angel to win a novice event over 5f at Ascot last year while Plutonian also has plenty of scope after placing on his handicap debut. Chester Street could bounce back to form for an in-form yard and Bronze Angel slips further down the weights.
