MALAPROPISM can land the finale at the main expense of Scruffy Skip and Cavitie. Mick Channon's 9-year-old bounced back to form when he went close at Wolverhampton earlier in the month and a reproduction of that effort would make him difficult to beat here. He has yet to win on the all-weather but this is only his sixth run and he showed enough last time to illustrate that his turn would not be far away. Scruffy Skip finished behind our selection last time but it is unlikely that he will be able to turn the tables today, even on these revised terms. Cavitie was well supported in the market when last seen out at Yarmouth in June. He finished down the field that day but he was denied a clear run and he could be worth another chance. If the market vibes are positive again then he would definitely be of interest. Best One has another 6lbs to shoulder here which could leave him vulnerable, and in a race where plenty have chances, the vote goes to the veteran Malapropism.
