In depth

Verdict

Not too much should be written into the fact that Nico de Boinville rides French import Farouk De Cheneau rather than the mare Daphne Du Clos as James Bowen has ridden the Uttoxeter winner in two of her last three outings. A stayer on the Flat, On To Victory handled the step up in distance when second over course and distance last month. Up The Straight has faced some stiff tasks since winning at Lingfield in November but it’s about time FLIC OU VOYOU was getting his head in front. He’s only found one too good in three of his last four starts and he should last home over this longer trip around here. Whatsupwithyou had no chance in a Grade 2 last time and the Ascot winner should find this easier.
