In depth

Verdict

Plenty with claims in this though Beverley winner Juneau was beaten off today’s mark at Ripon last time. Betjeman has a shout back on the all-weather and is preferred to El Borracho but Barnay has something to prove over today’s trip after finishing well behind third-placed Berkshire Spirit at York. The latter has strong claims back at this level but ATTICUS BOY was beaten only a length at Yarmouth on his handicap debut and David Lanigan’s colt gets the vote with further progress expected.
