      Verdict

      TORRES DEL PAINE is a tentative pick in the maiden with Tatawor and Neville's Cross others to make the shortlist. Although from a milers pedigree, the selection has enough early pace to make it count and he will need to utilise it in order to overcome the draw tonight. His odds will doubtless reflect that conundrum. Tatawor already shapes as if needing further. That said, this is a race lacking quality in depth. Neville's Cross was allowed to go cheaply through the ring at Newmarket in October. He is closely related to a number of winning milers on artificial surfaces. Avon Castle got loose before the start of his recent run at Lingfield so that effort can be safely scrubbed out of the memory bank. Meral's Choice is a sister to a horse placed over six furlongs so the market has to be inspected with regard to the debutant. A race of limited punting appeal and Torres Del Paine is our idea of the most likely winner.
