In an opening race where winning form is in short supply ONE WAY TICKET gets the nod ahead of Orange Square and Meikle Barfil. The selection has plenty of pace, and although he hasn't had a win for two and a half years he looks best of a poor field of runners. The gelding ran well here last time out so his yard will be looking to build on his third place finish and this outing should prove the perfect opportunity. Meikle Barfil has won at this distance before but has failed to build on that win which came over two years ago. The seven-year-old is only recently racing again after another long lay-off so he should be spot-on today and he does have a good draw. Orange Square is another who has recently returned from a lengthy lay-off but he is in reasonable form, although he did pull too hard last time out. Not too many appear to hold big chances here and One Way Ticket is taken to score.
