In depth

Verdict

Double Shuffle beat fellow veteran Ami Desbois over course and distance last season and generally runs well here. Nicky Henderson’s pair - Colonial Dreams and Morning Vicar – would both have claims on their best form while Smarty Wild was second to another Henderson chaser, Caribean Boy, over track and trip last time. FLEGMATIK (NAP) has been dropped a pound since his third in a higher grade here over Christmas and is now 3lb lower than for his only success so far over fences. Harry Skelton takes over the reins and the seven-year-old gets the nod to come good again.
