The Kempton evening card concludes with a pretty open affair in which Constant Cheers is selected to master Spirit Of Adjisa, with Mae Cigan and Ruse just a few more to mention. Constant Cheers had to survive a stewards' enquiry to open his account at Windsor two months ago, but in truth he did it on merit, despite hanging in the closing stages. He has a bit more to do now, but has only had 11 lifetime starts, and should have more to offer. Spirit Of Adjisa carries a penalty for a recent success at Brighton where he was not unbacked, and with the blinkers left on again, he looks a danger. Mae Cigan lines up in a bit of form, but seems to save his best efforts for soft ground on Turf, while Ruse is very likely to need the run, having been off since January. Hatton Flight should not be left out either, as he continues to run well off a fair mark, while Bridgewater Boys has his first outing for Gary Moore, having won a seller for Kevin Ryan, and needs to show a lot more. All in all, Constant Cheers gets a narrow vote to defy topweight.
