    Verdict

Lord Deevert can come out on top ahead of Khana Ras, Ramblin Bob and Deckguard to name but three. This moderate claimer should be well within the scope of Lord Deevert who has won two of his last five outings at this sort of level. Apprentice Jack Dean has been on board each time, and can take 7lb off his back again here. Although only beating one home in a Lingfield nursery three weeks ago, he was only five-lengths off the winner, and the drop back to this grade should see him run a big race. Khana Ras is inexperienced but now drops a level and should be placed to good effect in time, while Ramblin Bob has already opened his account in maiden company but has failed to progress. Deckguard should be noted in the market, as should Dusk Ballet, and Word Games must surely have more to offer in time. Magnol was going the right way when last seen but is likely to need the outing, and we shall side with Lord Deevert.
