Verdict

Recent efforts leave plenty to be desired but Turban can’t get much lower in the weights and could go well at decent odds. There may well be more to come from The Ogle Gogle Man and By The Boardwalk is starting to look well treated and will be suited by the drying ground. ASTRACAD is mostly seen in veterans’ chases nowadays but hasn’t raced in this grade in more than six years. If he retains a fraction of his former ability, he should have too much for these. Winning hurdler Longtown has only run twice over fences so far but all of his form is on ground with more give.
