In depth

Verdict

Natmana is the tentative pick ahead of Little Firecracker and Choisky. Mick Channon's juvenile was heavily punted ahead of a similar contest at Beverley before succumbing close home to Secret Asset. He had previously tried over six so is returned back to basics. Little Firecracker won a Thirsk seller for George Moore before joining Luca Cumani. He could be anything and the market is watched. Choisky has ran well over course and distance but will need to be campaigned closer to the pace to be competitive. The Magic Blanket has it to prove after a couple of disappointing efforts while Keeparryappy did nothing of the sort when well beaten in a recent Wolverhampton maiden. Alabama Spirit is likely to be popular as the topweight in a nursery although punters have had their fingers burnt on two recent occasions. Andrasta will need to stop hanging under pressure in order to have any chance of victory. Natmana looks the pick of these on previous form but cannot be recommended to significant stakes.
