jumped ponderously early, held up 3rd, jumped left 1st, held up in 3rd place, awkward 3rd, 2nd travelling well before 2 out, led before good jump last, came clear run-in
jumped left on occasions, led, clear after 7th, pushed along before 3 out, ridden and joined 2 out, headed before last, outpaced run-in
hampered 1st, soon switched inside, tracked leader, went left 8th, blundered 9th, switched to outside before next, pushed along and lost 2nd before 3 out, weakened quickly
Amour de Nuit was the best of these over hurdles but he’s not entirely straightforward and suffered a heavy fall at Cheltenham less than three weeks ago. Another Stowaway is probably the type to do better over fences than hurdles but we’ll take a chance on WISHFULL DREAMING, who is a full brother to smart chaser Wishfull Thinking and will be all the better for a run over timber at Ascot in January, his first for the yard.
