Another high-quality contes in which we'll side with MANY VOLUMES ahead of Galactic Star and Lion Sands. Henry Cecil's colt overcame a poor start to win here last time out, following up a Sandown success. Both of those were over slightly shorter, but the extra furlong shouldn't be a problem. Prior to those wins he'd had a case of seconditis, but looks to be the one setting the standard here, and is certainly consistent. A high draw can only help. Galactic Star has been placed in Group Two and Three contests this summer after a hat-trick of successes in decent races last year. He may be held up for a late charge. Luca Cumani's entrant Lion Sands won a Listed race at Newmarket earlier in the summer, despite encountering plenty of trouble in running, and certainly deserves respect too. This could be a lively betting heat, in which we'll select Many Volumes.
