In depth

Verdict

War Leader improved for the step up to 1m2f at Chelmsford so it’s a bit of a surprise to see him back down in trip while Captain Claret had failed to figure in handicaps since winning a maiden at Bath. Bandoss has his first start after wind surgery and makes his handicap debut. He’s preferred to Bring Him Home while the unpredictable Lapidary is due one of his better efforts. COMMIT NO NUISANCE returns to action but was placed in a higher grade here on his handicap bow and gets a speculative vote having been gelded since.
