        Verdict

        Divine Connection is making gradual progress and wasn’t beaten far over 7f here last week. Halfacrown was staying on over the straight 7f at Newcastle and a case can also be made for Lafontaine, who led until approaching the final furlong here last month when Divine Connection was behind. PRAIRIE MOPPINS was a 50/1 chance at Chelmsford 10 days ago but, switched for a run, was staying on strongly in the closing stages and any further improvement would put her in the firing-line in a race like this.
