Verdict

SALUTE THE SOLDIER was sent off favourite over 7f at Chelmsford on his handicap debut and duly obliged with a comfortable success once he’d seen daylight. He’s taken to defy a penalty on that evidence with the extra distance likely to suit. Plunger has also won over 7f and has placed over a mile in a couple of subsequent outings while Skydiving was beaten only a neck over course and distance recently, though in a lower grade contest. Enzemble has struggled since landing a novice race here on his seasonal debut and Guvenor's Choice is preferred on the back of a second at Wolverhampton.
