Verdict

MOONSHINE BEACH is the pick here in preference to Daring Racer and Colophony. None of the entrants are in the greatest of form; the selection is a course and distance winner as is Mister Completely, but he ran a stinker over the same distance at Lingfield on Wednesday. Moonshine Beach was unlucky in running a couple of weeks ago in a similar event, but still made the frame and should be involved at the business end again. Daring Racer is now off his lowest mark; he was hanging left when placed recently at Folkestone, and that cost him. If they can rectify that he's got a great chance today. Colophony spends more time hurdling than on the Flat, but was a second at Lingfield earlier in the summer in a better race than this, albeit over a mile and 5.
