      Verdict

      HUKUM is penalised having won Group 3 contests at both York and then Newbury last time. But Owen Burrows’ charge still looks the one to beat and can confirm running on the Knavesmire with Outbox. Fox Tal and Hamish have a bit to find on these terms and the latter hasn’t raced since June last year. He looks likely to be aimed at the Long Distance Cup at Ascot while last year’s Melbourne Cup third Prince Of Arran hasn’t raced since April and was well beaten in last year’s renewal.
