Three-year-olds have won the last three runnings of this race and that trend can continue with PARVAAZ expected to take some beating. Frankie Dettori's mount disappointed many when sixth at Newmarket on his penultimate start but that form could hardly have worked out better and he's since resumed his progression by scoring at Carlisle; we hope a 5lb rise isn't enough to stop him doing so again. Saharia is another representative of the classic generation who looks to have real claims as he's twice run well over course and distance and is bred to continue improving, so this could boil down to a match between the pair. There are others with claims including Primaeval who should improve for returning to this surface and is slowly dropping down the weights, tough front-runner My Gacho and the progressive Yankee Storm, but Parvaaz can send favourite followers home happy.
