In depth

Verdict

An awful maiden here where the selection is Millinsky to see off Elvina and Scarlett Breeze. Millinsky improved on her Doncaster debut to finish third to Tregarron in Newbury maiden later that month, and gets another chance to show us what she can do here. On both those occasions she has looked like there was more left to work on, and Rae Guest should have her spot on after a five week break. This won't take too much winning and she can take the prize. Elvina is bred to go well at the trip and should be much more at home on this faster surface than when running on the fibresand on her Southwell debut. She will know more about the game now and can take a hand in proceedings. Meanwhile Scarlett Breeze has come back to some sort of form in recent outings, including when fourth here, three lengths adrift of the selection, in that race won by Tregarron. A repeat will probably be good enough to see her collect some prize money, but we can't see her getting past Millinsky, who can take the prize.
