EFFICIENCY is put forwards in this well contested nursery where we would expect Casual Style and Ray Of Joy to be amongst those featuring prominently. Michael Blanshard's filly has shown improved form with each start and came within a neck of breaking her duck over a mile here last time. This is the quickest return that she's made to the track and she will find this more competitive but she's done enough to think that she can take a race of this nature. Sunniva Duke pulled too hard last time and may be worth another chance but Grand Honour and Aladdin's Lamp may need some help from the assessor in order to resume winning ways. Captain Carey is worth a second look now handicapping for the first time but Ray Of Joy is the one to beat having performed consistently in nurseries throughout the year. That consistency does mean she's vulnerable to an improver though and it's interesting to see Spencer ride for the Pipe-trained Casual Style who is having just her second run for the yard and she seems certain to appreciate this longer trip. She may be shorter than her form deserves given her connections though so we'll side with another progressive filly in Efficiency.
