Verdict

Born A King is by Frankel and didn't look suited by heavy ground at Doncaster but is expected to do very much better in his second campaign. First Receiver made a very bright start at Newmarket in July and didn't run again until November when just outpaced by First View, though the winner disappointed in Dubai earlier in the year. IMRAHOR made a very good impression over 7f at Newbury when just failing to get the better of the odds-on Cherokee Trail. He just gets the vote while Mr Poy couldn't quite contain Sesame Birah over the same track and trip. Paxos looked in need of another furlong when runner-up over 7f here in February but Photograph made a very encouraging start at Newmarket in November. Defence Girl did well to finish third at Newcastle after missing the break.
