IRISH DREAM had a couple of outings in January and her second at Lingfield looks stronger form than that of Spymistress. Mark Johnston's filly gets the speculative vote as the rest of today's opposition make their seasonal debuts and the betting may provide some clues on that score. Pearl Bridge went close on his introduction when third at Sandown in September and Baron Run was placed at the same track on his debut, though he disappointed afterwards. Bluegrass Blues found a couple too good when sent off favourite at York in October but the heavy ground looked a legitimate excuse and he can do better.
