Verdict

Namid Reprobate and Suits Me, both last time out winners as juveniles, would have claims if fit enough for their first outing as three-year-olds but a safer proposition looks to be Ballybeg who gets the vote. The selection stayed on well to win over seven furlongs at Lingfield last time giving the impression that there would be more to come over today's trip of a mile and he gets the vote to follow up off just a 4lb higher mark. Clive Brittain's Lake Poet made an encouraging return in a Lingfield maiden two weeks ago and could be of interest with his yard in good form, while Fangorn Forest has been running with credit in claimers of late and now returns to a handicap on a fair mark. Trans Sonic has been left unchanged on a mark of 78 despite a facile success over Rose Muwasim in a Lingfield maiden last time and has to be considered but Ballybeg promises to be suited by this longer trip and he gets the vote.
