      Verdict

      Derby entry GRANDILOQUENT was beaten less than a length on his debut over a mile at Lingfield in October. The form looks nothing special but the step up to middle-distances will suit Sir Michael Stoute's colt and he gets the vote. Muhamee finished behind the selection at Lingfield and there looked to be something amiss on his latest start while it was soft ground at Nottingham when Palus San Marco showed a big improvement to finish second last time. Tempest Fugit is another who should improve for the longer trip after last year's modest debut over a mile at Yarmouth.
