Micky Mac makes most appeal with Royal Amnesty and Golden Square best of the remainder. The selection was a shade disappointing and never able to land a blow in a race over course and distance that was won by Golden Square on his latest start. However, the race wasn't really run to suit and with the red-hot Chris Catlin taking over in the plate he's well worth another chance. Tony Carroll's runner has since finished well beaten at Wolverhampton but must be respected back at the scene of his success from just a 2lb higher mark. Royal Amnesty is more of a shot in the dark. He has left Greg Chung since he last raced but he won twice here for his previous connections, most recently in 2006 from a mark of 74. He heads the weights on a rating of just 55 tonight and is clearly well treated if his new trainer can rekindle his enthusiasm. The market may help answer that question but it makes sense to side with Micky Mac.
