Nicky Richards and Howard Johnson both boast reasonable strike rates with their bumper runners at this venue so it may be worth taking a chance with either DR FLYNN or Winter Alchemy despite the useful standard set by a number of those with experience. A market check is essential but the nominal vote at this stage of proceedings goes to Dr Flynn whose dam is related to a smart winner in this sphere and thus looks the part on paper whilst jockey bookings would suggest that he's the stable's first string. Bookings would also suggest that Winter Alchemy is preferred to Goffa Crag and Brian Harding's mount is related to a number of winners including the useful Johnny Mullen who landed a bumper in December. There are four winners in this field as well as a couple more that have shown promise so this has the makings of a fair heat but a chance is taken with Dr Flynn in the hope that the market provides us with some confidence.
