Canada Street gets the nod over Ben Britten and Three Mirrors. The last named has made a good start for Ferdy Murphy and looks sure to pay his way with a win before too long. A betting move would be a significant pointer. Even so, Ben Britten is sure to make this a good test and edges the vote as being the best of the rest on this occasion. The Nicky Richards-trained gelding would not want the ground to be too soft though and needs to conclusively prove that cut in the ground suits. Therefore, we prefer the claims of Canada Street, who delivered the goods at Wetherby when he was last seen out - rewarding favourite backers with a solid performance. The five-year-old has plenty of scope for improvement and looks the safest option as he continues to learn his trade.
