Verdict

REIVERS LAD, a promising sort in bumpers, is surely better than he showed on his hurdling debut at Ayr when odds on. He probably needed the run and has to be worth another chance in this company as he is a lot less exposed than penalised course and distance winner Lycidas. Al Reesha won on her first start over timber at Fakenham but was then beaten out of sight over further at Warwick. Dropping back in distance should aid her cause so she’s preferred to Paper Roses and the others.
